Hungry Drums will be taking a break for the next month.. Sad, but the silly season is ahead and I will be gallivanting. Multiple continents, multiples climates, multiple genres. It is quite fitting, in that regard, to post up SBTRKT's latest BBC release: "Wonder Where We Land".

Here's to thirty days of uninterrupted adventure lands.
Happy holidays y'all.

It has been a while since Atu has released anything. 'Vacant' came out a couple of days ago and it is as consistently good as the last. The only way is up for this Soulection god send.

Documentary on Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment below. It was shot over 23 hours not on stage. Cannot wait till their Donnie Trumpet album Surf is released! Listen to the first single released, it is also below.

I want to be their friend.

RY X is certainly one to wear his heart on his sleeve. Apparently he cried while making the music video to 'Sweat'. The LA based Aussie is also part of The Acid collective, so have a listen to the album Liminal  if you are craving some more Bon Iver-esque tunes.

After the ridiculous success of '2 On', Tinashe has teamed up with DJ Mustard again to create another track. 'Fuckin Wit Me' is real easy listening, not the party track that '2 On' was but possibly just a more chilled out version.

I do wonder why the track wasn't on her debut Aquarius? Maybe she just wanted to keep the online momentum going. Guess it worked.

MNEK is London's latest dance floor master. His new single 'The Rhythm' was dropped mid way through an Annie Mac BBC 1 show and it has the world dancing up a storm. Check out his always on point vocals mixed with some heavily delirious beats below.

Just posted Drake's killer track 'How Bout Now' on the last Double Feature BINGE# but I wanted to share a remix of it. No Sleep's remix not only gives the track a pop/electro twist but also adds in a Ciara sample throughout the chorus. Works pretty damn well if I do say so myself.

It is definitely worth checking out the other remixes this producer has up his sleeve.

Monday morning offices musings: Mt Mountain's latest single 'Chantry'.

They are a genuine to-watch Perth band with ridiculous talent alongside a whole lot of laid back fun. Pretty stoked they won the 2014 WA Music Award for Breakthrough artist too. I go major fan girl for these guys.
